Whether you are a first time buyer or an experienced buyer, the process of finding the right home is different for everyone.  Some people may only need to look at three homes to realize they have found the right one. For others the process may take 6 months.  Whichever scenario you fit, we will work to make the process enjoyable and smooth!

When you are getting ready to start your home search, we recommend that you sit down and write up a list of your MUSTs and your WANTs.  The MUSTs would include things like maximum price range, specific school districts, minimum number of bedrooms and bathrooms; these are items that you are NOT willing to compromise on (including things that are an absolute NO).  Your WANTs should include preferences that would be great to have but that you could live without--for example, you would love a fireplace but you would be willing to buy a home without a fireplace or a garage would be fabulous, but it is not a deal breaker.  After you write down your list, share it with your agent.  He or she should be able to look at the list and give you an idea of whether your MUSTs and your WANTS are realistic for your budget and location.  Sometimes your agent may even show you something that you didn't think about or take you to an area that you might not have thought of.  Try to keep an open mind! You may find that a good agent knows what you need and want before you do!
